The hanging houses (Casas colgadas) in Cuenca are the most famous buildings on the edge in Spain and its shape is the traditional container of the bottle of “Resoli” a typical beverage in this town.

I don’t think I visited this place, but I think I saw it while visiting other parts of the country. I plan to visit there again, and will have to keep this in mind.
Hozoviotissa, Amorgos Island, Greece. A monastery erected in the middle ages on a notorious “God-forsaken” cliffside, to invite God’s return. The building is 8 stories high, but only 15 feet wide to fit in the small notch in the cliff above the rocky shore hundreds of feet below.
