I don’t think I visited this place, but I think I saw it while visiting other parts of the country. I plan to visit there again, and will have to keep this in mind.
Hozoviotissa, Amorgos Island, Greece. A monastery erected in the middle ages on a notorious “God-forsaken” cliffside, to invite God’s return. The building is 8 stories high, but only 15 feet wide to fit in the small notch in the cliff above the rocky shore hundreds of feet below.
Wow! Eight stories high and 15 feet wide is difficult to even imagine.
