Heading to Atlantic City in 2 weeks. Anyone have any suggestions of the best places to visit? Also looking for the best places to eat?

I just learned about Chef Vola’s from a commenter on Atlas Obscura’s Facebook page, apparently it’s great if you can get a reservation, it’s basically a hidden gem of a restaurant in a basement! Okatshe is another “hidden gem” - you get to the Japanese restaurant through a hidden door.

Whitehouse sub shop and Angelo’s Fairmont Tavern. Love em both.

Try to take in “Lucy The Elephant” down in Margate (about 10-15 minutes south). I’m sure there is an article on Atlas Obscura about her. There is WWI memorial in Odonnell Park at the south end of Atlantic City that has an affecting bronze in it named “Liberty in Distress” (though its behind gates). The “Knife and Fork Inn” is an old-school historic restaurant nearby. They’ve been around over 100 years. I’ve known a few people who swear by the place and wouldn’t miss it.
