Bisbee Stairs

Welcome to the Atlas Obscura Community discussion of Bisbee Stairs in Bisbee, Arizona. Ask questions or share travel tips, experiences, pictures, or general comments with the community. For the story behind this place, check out the Atlas Obscura entry:

The Bisbee 1000 is the annual “stair climb” that’s always on the third Saturday in October. I ran the first two events back in the 1990s, but the entry fee is now a ridiculous $75 and has now become an elite event for runners from outside the area. However, I’ve often walked the stairs by following along on the map, starting and finishing at the Copperman statue by the old Court House. https://www.bisbee1000.org/images/map7.jpg

Bisbee is a fun town any time of year. The Old Bisbee Brewing Company is a great brewery where one can sit on the sun deck and people watch in Brewery Gulch.
