Diversions from the usual places of interest

Looking for some interesting diversions in Ireland in the Spring

I’ve heard just wonderful things from people who have stayed in inns on Ireland’s islands. There are dozens? hundreds? for you to choose from, but I love the look of this lighthouse inn!

The Kilkenny Music Festival lasts for a week in March. It usually has a great line up of melodic, smaller bands and the town’s location in County Wicklow is in one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland imho.

Speaking of Wicklow, I also highly recommend this pub called The Dying Cow, located near the village of Tinahely. It’s been owned by the same family for 5 generations and is a uniquely picturesque spot to spend the afternoon with a bunch of local octogenarians and a proper pint.
