03/05/2020 - Note that the exterior lights have not been functional for quite some time. Apparently as they started going out the museum realized the artist had utilized bulbs that are quite expensive to replace – over 7 figures. Given his current project in the Roden Crater, it is doubtful these will be replaced any time soon. Also of note is that the sky view is only open when rain is not in the forecast. Although it is still a fascinating undertaking to gaze upward at the lit ceiling, your best bet to view the actual sky is to visit during Seattle’s drier months.
