Niagara Falls interesting things to do / places to eat

We’re going Memorial Day weekend.and will have a car. We already have a list of tourist things to do. I’m looking for more fun/weird things to do and places to ear in the area. Thinking about a day in wine country/Niagara-on-the-lake.

The Niagara Parkway, which goes along the Niagara river, is a really nice drive. Lots of nature, lots of wineries. Between Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls, along the parkway, there’s the Fort George National Historic Site (pretty, historic), Queenston Heights Park (also beautiful, huge park, scenic hikes, etc. It’s also the southern terminus of the Bruce Trail), a butterfly conservatory, the Niagara Glen Nature Centre (scenic hikes, there’s a whirpool). There’s also a 99-acre botanical garden.

Thank you so much. We have Niagara-on-the-Lake as a possible but it sounds like it will be a beautiful drive and well worth it.
