I just wanted to mention the One Million Bones Project in Silver City, New Mexico.
“SILVER CITY - One Million Bones — a nationally recognized social art installation raising awareness of genocide and mass atrocities across the globe — has found its permanent home at Bear Mountain Lodge. The art installation was dedicated in early 2018, and is now on display for visitors and locals.”
I created a slideshow to show a bit more detail of the grounds on which the bones lie. It begins with pictures of the important people who made it possible to do the project along with Rose Mapendo, a genocide survivor and human rights activist who gave a talk about her experiences.
