You are totaly wrong about this.
This was not named Patuxai. This was named Anusavary nuklopkao. Do you know what those word mean?
Patuxai was named by the communist gorverment .you do not know enough about Lao

You are correct. The original name was Anusavary Nuklopkao (Memorial Monument) to remember the Lao soldiers who lost their lives during World War 2. It was renamed as Patuxai (Victory Gate) in 1975 by the Communist government.

I really don’t care what it’s called one way or the other, it’s a waste of US Government money. Again someone failed in government to properly manage the US taxpayer money. Go figure. Now with that said if I’m ever in Laos, I would want to go and see it!
