Road Trip - Memphis to Birmingham on I-22 - Ideas?

As the subject indicates I will be traveling from Memphis to Birmingham AL on Feb 19th on I-22. Any ideas on interesting places to visit, eat, stay along the way?

Well you’ll pass right by the natural bridge. I haven’t been there but my wife has. Her family lives a few miles from here so we’ll be stopping at the bridge during our next visit.

If you can go to Rowan Oak, Faulkner’s home in Oxford, Mississippi. It’s a little off route but so worth it. Eat at the Ajax Diner and then buy some Cathead Vodka. Tupelo is the birthplace of Elvis and there is a small museum there with his home. On weekends they have a farmers market in the town square which is restored. Be sure and stop for food at local gas stations and try the boiled peanuts in the crock pots. The food is so good. Maybe The Dogwoods will be blooming when you go thru the forest.

I loved Rowan Oak! And if you’re in Oxford you may as well stop by Square Books.
