The rubber chicken museum is amusing but only a portion of the awesomeness that is Archie McPhee’s. We love this store; it is our stop for offbeat and white elephant gifts.

Ahhh, a new place to visit. Never even knew this place existed.

Love Atlas Obscura for helping us find these offbeat attractions. Archie McPhee’s offers a dazzling collection of unique, bizzare, weird and wonderful novelties for sale and is home to the world-famous Rubber Chicken Museum and the Wallingford Beast, a Fiji Mermaid style oddity.

Highlights of our visit are acailable on YouTube:

The rubber chicken museum is so charmingly quirky - if that’s your style of humor then you will love it. However, the whole Archie McPhee store is awesome - where else can you find horse masks, boxing nuns, Bigfoot items, shrunken heads and bacon scented band aids, all under one roof?? I never go to Seattle without stopping in there at least once. Don’t forget to say hello to the Wallingford Beast!
