We’ve made the hard crusted boiled bread in many shapes and the cucidati. So good! So many fun traditions.

Zeppole and Sfinci are not synonyms -they’re actually two different but equally delicious St Joseph’s Day pastries.

Sfinci di San Giuseppe are typically Sicilian and are stuffed with a ricotta cream and candied fruits while Zeppole di San Giuseppe are typically Neapolitan and are stuffed with a thick custard and amarena cherries. The two have coexisted happily for decades at my local Italian American bakery here on Long Island.
