What a sad story! Too much Roman influence in our American culture. Some are good such as the eagle, senate, Roman-Greek architecture, laws, and more but singing, dancing, performing to amuse the masses benefits no one. Who needs entertainment? Most of it is foolishness. And why was there Chinese anti-sentiment when it was they who built the railroad?

There was anti-Chinese sentiment because white men feared they would take away their jobs. Sound familiar?
