Powell Cotton Museum , modest but wonderful and eccentric collection, they were obtained by Cotton during his adolescent trip to Japan in the late 19th century as the country was just opening up to the outside world

Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museum , Oxford , some really striking netsukes in these museums
