There’s yet another miniature St Paul’s in London! In the roof space of St Paul’s is Wren’s original wooden 1:25 scale model, over 300 years old. The bronze sculpture of “Architecture” on Vauxhall bridge weighs two tons. The sculptures were only commissioned very late on, after complaints that the bridge was too stark. “Architecture” now looks upstream forlornly at the tide of banal riverside apartment blocks engulfing the majestic Battersea Power Station.
