I wanted to start a thread to share an excellent free theater production I saw last weekend, at Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem. The Bacchae was adapted pitch-perfectly from the original by Euripedes. The production is incredible, especially considering it is staged at a free outdoor theater.
The play is as raunchy as you’d hope given the central character is Dionysus himself. Fill a water bottle with Greek wine and check it out! It runs most nights through the end of July.
